Being a member of the close-knit Jordan Brand family has paid off handsomely in the shape of ridiculous sneaker creations that aren't available for retail. To round off the year, the Jumpman unveiled one of its most amazing initiatives to date, distributed to MJ's WNBA representatives.
The color scheme of this Air Jordan 4, nicknamed "First Class," unveiled by Jordan Brand color designer Kelsey Amy, is dominated by green. Partly because of the golden accessories scattered across the upper, the natural hue radiates an air of elegance from the rubber outsole to the stingray textured mudguard and tongue label
To begin with, the Jumpman emblems on the tongue and heel are made of solid gold (probably plated), and the distinctive Jumpman silhouette now features a little diamond gem in place of the basketball. The insignia appears over textured leather, a frequent feature of high-end leather goods made in Italy, on both the tongue and the heel.
The narrative behind the "First Class" concept is presented in the double-sided hang tag. Copying a typical luggage tag, Jordan Brand adds a distinctive touch with the famous elephant print, all the while referencing Portland, Oregon's PDX International Airport. The WNBA emblem is prominently shown above the year 2023 on the other side.
